0:00 Well, it doesn't help that they were stale, right? It's still running the same events. Still. And it's like, you know, I think we got two new events. We got three. One of them crashed, burned, died for good reason. The other two were so horribly glitched and buggy that it was just, it was bad. Click the subscribe button. Come on, just do it. It's not going to hurt you. I don't have ads. We don't have any of that junk. and give us a like or a thumbs down. I don't care. Put a comment in there. Whatever. Just throw something in there. Be interactive. If you want to hear about something, type it in the comments. We'll reply.
0:40 Someone will actually reply to your comment. Yes, I appreciate the comments and the suggestions. That's what I wish I had on the podcast before. Suggestion. And we're live and back. We are live and back. for everybody that's made through the first one there. This is, well, like four months later. Right. Well, not to them. No, not to them. No, yeah, it's just instantaneous. Right. Like time travel. What's that? Released one on Friday. Here's another one. Should be ready by next Friday. And then, yeah, we'll just keep it going.
1:22 We'll have another one done by, like, September, probably. Nah, we'll get it done quicker than that this time. We don't have multiple vacations and alpaca and quite a number of things coming up. And yeah, I really want to kind of try and dedicate time to this, you know? Yeah, no, it's enjoyable. And then from what I've heard, the four people that watched the first one actually enjoyed it. So thank you for watching if you were one of those four or five people. We actually had 13. Really? Yeah, we've gotten 24 views on that. Woo-hoo! Wow. That's huge, dude. 24.
2:03 That's more than I would have expected. Yeah, well, you know, you got to start somewhere, right? Yeah, exactly. So what have you been up to today? Anything interesting? Well, we kind of sidetracked a lot of our plans for the day. went in and went and did some shopping got a fence material some eight gauge wire for copper wire for the new six strand we're going to run around the goat and dog area well we've already run but i need to re-energize it nice some orange fencing the deer fencing so we can get a couple more trees put out there got a couple more pawpaw trees to set out there and uh that'll be nice some sage to go under them uh some comfrey and some yarrow to plant out there and stuff like that so um basically today was supply and provisions and and kind of a bucket day you know nice i'm sick of running around and and just every day is busy busy busy busy busy every once in a while you gotta have like just a chill day you know so you took the truck out uh no oh okay why why would i do that no i was just asking like uh i was curious if you actually went out driving anywhere we did uh yeah so my wife mrs havoc uh mrs havoc the lovely mrs havoc
3:40 oh good she drives she she likes to drive her car and it's it looks prettier than my truck yeah you fit all the fencing in there yeah it's just uh it's like a four foot high orange like plastic the plastic stuff yeah yeah yeah yeah okay not like wire fencing no we wouldn't have done that that would have been the truck yeah there's no way she would let that in in Barbie. She calls it Barbie. It's a nice vehicle, it is. It is a nice vehicle. It went semi-off-road last time. I was in it. It jumped the curb. We were getting crazy. Two of them, actually.
4:21 Crazy. You actually came to visit me in sunny Florida. How'd you like it down here? I enjoyed it in March. It's a nice, wonderful place in March. You're going to come back in like come back in July or August or? No. That'd be no. For some other reason but yeah. No. I'm in the past. May even. You know May through let's say October. Pretty much no off limits for Florida for me. Yeah. March was pretty nice. We did the kayak thing. That was fun.
5:02 Oh it was beautiful. I hope you enjoyed that. yeah wiki wachi springs springs or river yeah springs wiki wachi springs that was beautiful crystal clear water nice you know two-hour leisurely kayak thing it was really great until the word the game warden came coming up the river and like forced us all onto a side that we all just got jammed up and and stuck on this log under the water yeah that was fun i didn't get stuck a couple other people got stuck i got stuck first and i was like so it's your fault well i got myself shimmied off of the thing and then you know our our oldest ended up stuck on it for like i don't know five minutes yeah no he had a good time too i think But besides the aftercare of the sunburn.
5:59 Yeah. No, we all had a great time. My legs finally started peeling a little bit. Oh, they did? I tried to warn you, but you didn't want to listen. I don't care. It doesn't matter. It's just skin. Nice. If you cut a patch off, it'll grow back. It's like, cool. I mean, I don't suggest doing that, but you can. Yeah, I mean, but if that was the worst thing to happen on your trip, I think we did pretty good. Oh, it was a great trip. I really enjoyed it. Yeah, what else? We played billiards. That was fun. We did. Yeah. Went and bought some pool cues.
6:41 Nice pool cues. Yeah. Like the worst noob pool player ever. anything that happens on a pool table when i'm holding the stick is absolutely unquestionably 100 sheer luck right and so after we after we saw you guys we went up to charleston right we found this really cool little bar very cool very small uh you know half a block from where we were staying walked in there and you know we were having some drinks it was a nice atmosphere and it turns out they had a little pool table. Let's play pool. So I go hightailing. My wife goes to put our names on the board for the pool table.
7:24 I go hightailing back to the hotel room. I'm probably a little wobbly at this point anyway. Anyway, I grab the pool cues and I come flying back up there. I got this really cool case and two brand new pool cues, really nice ones. and um we can i come walking back in there and one of the guys goes oh yeah sure a new guy yeah you can't play pool you want to play for money he's like not a chance and i'm like you're lost man you could have made some cash right proceeded to royally suck so bad that at one point someone came and and said hey you know we want you know they put a dollar down for the table and uh my my wife just looks at me and goes can we just probably give up now right i'm gonna take another couple shots and we did didn't change anything on the on the table and uh so we just gave up we just take the table oh no we can wait i'm like you this this place will be closed by the time we clear this table nice well i mean at least you had an enjoyable time we did and we actually looked uh around where we live uh for some you know like a billiards place right rent a table for an hour or whatever and uh found a couple places like that so we may do that that might be fun oh good maybe you'll get better at it doubtful but you never know you know me left to my own devices i'm
9:00 practicing with me and you know just encouraging bad behavior so if i'm if i'm not doing it right now if i practice more it's not going to make me doing it wrong work better i'm guessing i don't know practice makes a permanent is what i've heard said not not necessarily perfect this practice makes permanent yeah when i was when i was younger i actually did a bowling league at one time just not really yeah yeah well you know amateur full amateur thing and did you do the whole like spinning thing or you do like the straight line thing well when i first when i first joined i was that kind of a person right and um you know after after the first game there was one guy on there who was a pro like an ex he i don't think he was on the circuit anymore but he he was a pro he could take one finger put it in the ball and then roll a strike standing backwards between his legs with one finger in the ball and i was just like that's insane that's impressive yeah well he he ended up taking some time and showing me how to bowl so now i can actually bowl like i know what i'm doing and you know I'm not great but you know at least I'm not the straight thrower anymore. I don't know
10:31 if my shoulder would take it anymore where are we getting too old from the injuries Nah He says that he gets up under my wife's vehicle and starts taking like skid plates down and stuff Yeah, my shoulder I think you're okay Nah, that skid plate was pretty darn heavy too you know it was yeah i was actually really impressed i was another one under it i'm like what are they expecting this thing to go through so my neighbor has a very similar uh the pickup truck version of that thing and it's his skid plate is nothing like that one you got on there it's it's very very lightweight and i was not quite expecting that when we unbolted it to be quite honest with you i wasn't either i was expecting like some you know kind of cheesy aluminum sheeting you know this looks neat and people will know you could literally hang the hang that vehicle on a rock on that pretty much pretty much it would dent but it'd hold up i think yeah what is that toyota toyota product yeah toyota trd pro one of the four runners nice i mean i i like the vehicle i was i was fairly impressed no it's i mean they're really capable vehicles you know it's it's a really nice vehicle it rides nice my only complaint about it and it's not something i would really complain about for that particular vehicle on a long drive
12:03 the seats are great if you're four-wheeling you you're in contact you can feel right vehicle uh they're tight you know it it's like that right you don't want that luxury kind of i sink into my seat and bounce around on it right they're a little hard from the from saying from the back seat perspective they're a little bit harder than the average passenger vehicle seat yeah and when you're driving on that for eight nine ten hours it it uh it sucks a lot it sucks a lot it feels like you just got wailed in the butt with a six by six or something even with your uh little butt that you got? No, that does it. That helps though. Yeah.
12:43 That makes it completely doable. Yeah. Right. Outside of that, you get about two hours in that vehicle before your behind starts hurting real bad. Nice. At least I do. Old people. Yeah Old people like us Yeah I mean when I was 20 you could have sat me in a rock for five hours and i wouldn have noticed that that probably true no no yeah i i so like today i was telling her i was i was uh cleaning up uh we got an upright freezer the used one and i was cleaning it up because it's um it's weird i like your own uh your own filth is okay but when somebody else's filth it's like it just doesn't fly so it's a thorough thorough scrubbing on that thing and you know like i had to get on the ground to get underneath the door and like i don't know if i was going to get back up again or not the ground gets harder as you get older i think it does it seems like it definitely less less padding well i know more padding but for some reason yeah it seems a lot more difficult to deal with hard surfaces and my body.
13:55 All right. Exactly. What about you? What did you do for today? Just cleaning on that freezer. So we have like a little chest freezer, but the problem with it is, is like every time we go digging in the thing, I can never find anything that I want. And if I do, it's always at the bottom. And, you know, like you take everything out and it's not, huge, but if I think it's on the right side, so I dig out the right side. Of course, it's always on the left side, whatever we're looking for. We decided to try this upright freezer. It's got shelves in it. We've got a pretty good deal on it. It's actually made in the USA. I couldn't even believe it.
14:37 It's Whirlpool. It's older, a couple years old, but I didn't even know they made things here anymore. It's amazing. Very nice. cleaned it up it was a little little dirty but it works great yeah we we kind of did the same thing that's why we got an upright freezer is because well you've seen our chest freezer it's it's big right um and exact same thing the the thing's almost where it was almost full right right lift up the lid and you just be like you know there's you know five years of crud underneath there somewhere and it got a little old you know trying to like you said dig through and try and find stuff and you know my hands would go numb taking the stuff out like trying to look for what I was trying to look for what I set out to find in the first place. You got blue fingers yeah. Yep. Yep so we went with the upright and I think we're going to keep that for culling and for you know large primal cuts of meat, you know?
15:47 Speaking of primal cuts of meat, you genuinely spoiled us while we were on vacation. You introduced us to some new cuts of meat that we hadn't tried before. Beef. And so, you know, we were actually contemplating going in on like a quarter cow, I think, probably enough for us. so we also needed needed the room for that um tri-tip was one of the good ones uh a conya skirt steak we had i mean we were like living it up it was pretty good it's good rib eye rib eye is pretty awesome i've never been a real like fat guy on a steak like i i preferred the filet you know but it's you know it's pretty lean that you know more expensive but i think now i kind of like the cuts with a little bit of the fat on it i mean the way you cooked it up too i think the preparation has a lot to do with it it does it does yeah can you do an amazing job cooking a steak let me just say that well thank you i appreciate that i try you know you absolutely got it nailed.
17:02 Hey, we all mess up, right? We picked up a couple of cuts, and I'm going to mess it up myself coming up shortly here. If you have any questions, ask. I most certainly will. I'll have you on there on that. Maybe we'll do a live podcast. You guys can watch me cook on the grill and mess it all up, right? Let's do it. That would be awesome. oh oh i know what i want to talk about yeah it was absolutely fun as anything and i never thought it would be so in the house that we stayed at they had some some games for kids and they had um this large size jenga game set the blocks were you know like they look like a two by four or something you know maybe not quite that big but the uh you know bigger than the bigger than the tabletop version and we had an absolute blast doing that i i didn't think it would be that fun but it actually was it it's very deceiving when you get like to a spot where you're like there's no way that they're going to be able to like the next person so it was myself and havoc and mrs havoc and mrs lx there and uh my my wife was after me so like you know i i got to put the the screws to her most of the time you know i thought like there's no way she's gonna get this and sure enough like it'd come back around to me and i'm like no way this is this is crazy
18:33 yeah you you keep expecting it to you know topple at any moment right you see someone take a one out and it just kind of walks back and forth and you're like oh it's going it's going and then it just stabilizes and you're like no i i left a few bombs too i'm like there's no way i've heard no way it's coming back to me and it came back and i'm like oh my goodness yeah i thought it was over like like for like five rounds on one game i'm like hey this is it it's done we didn't didn't It didn't help that there was literally no level spots anywhere in that house.
19:15 Oh, there was no. Because for everybody at home, so we stayed in this house. It was a nice enough house, very nice house, Airbnb. But there were these spots in the floor where the vinyl planking, it had recesses underneath it. You could feel it when you were walking. So we looked it up on the property appraiser's website. Sure enough, it had been a sinkhole remediation house. So in Florida, they have sinkholes and they don't necessarily open up the swallow you and take the whole house. They're just a void underneath the house that they typically fill the concrete and shore it up.
19:56 But I don't think they did quite a good job on this one because there were several spots on the floor where you could feel it like a little springy action. and went right in the kitchen it was it was a big leg it was like a six inch hole or something and the tile you know the vinyl tile was just kind of like yeah compromised let's say it that way when i when i first walked in there i remember walking in there and we we were unloading stuff and so we're taking stuff to the kitchen and uh i was wearing my boots right right and so they're you know western boots and and i walked in there and my heel went in this hole and I almost twisted my ankle. What the heck was that?
20:40 And I just thought, you know what? I must've misstepped or, you know, something weird happened. It took another day. And then I stepped back in it again. That is not right. I looked down. And then after that, just walking on the floor, it felt like it was, it felt to me like someone had just compacted sand and then put the floor in down on top of the sand. right and you know how sand will start to ripple under something eventually that's right just yeah we tried the jenga thing on different places on the floor it's all wonky there's no level anywhere it was great and then we tried the ping pong table the big body they had a ping pong table there and a billiard we had a pool table there yep yep that was really cool they they converted the garage into a game room they had a few arcade machines in there a pinball machine uh so one of the video pinball which is actually better than i thought it would be not bad yeah no that was fun that was a neat idea to be honest with you as far as it goes for for an airbnb especially in the location um great idea you know family type of a i would think that's probably more of a family type of vacation i would think so yeah yeah and so yeah having that game room there i mean tell the kids go in the garage and play some games and they're having a great time and it's air conditioned in the garage which was nice yeah it was the mini split yeah that kept it nice in there too i mean
22:12 you know it wasn't a hot time i don't know what it would be like during summer summer but I'm sure it would make it a lot more bearable because otherwise it'd probably be 95 or 100 out there in the garage yeah and I didn't know but apparently they're cool from they you know afterwards found out you can open the garage and everything so oh really yeah I kind of think we were probably a little too rambunctious for doing that maybe yeah maybe I mean we were having fun no it was a great time i enjoyed it i did too i think that was a blast really i enjoyed the uh the 8 a.m wake-up call from the uh obnoxious pool pump right outside the bedroom window that was the loudest pool pump i have ever heard in my life yeah and then me the one morning i wake up and i'm like you know someone's got their alarm going so you know something because i keep hearing this beep beep right right beep and i'm like dude you know whoever it is and i was thinking it was our son right because he he will do that he um will sleep through just about anything even his own alarm 10 of them right nice and so that's what my first thought was that's what it was and then i i was like all right outside and i'm sitting out there and it's just going on outside and i'm like these are trucks backing up i'm like where is all the backups going on right here right it was
23:46 pretty funny but yeah no that was an awesome trip that that steakhouse was really good too that steakhouse was pretty uh yeah that was pretty awesome yeah did you want to drop the name of it or no yeah absolutely uh if you're ever in the uh spring hill florida area or brooksville it's technically brooksville i think oh it is brooksville okay i think so yeah don't know where uh but uh there's a steakhouse up there called prime 88 and fantastic the food is just wonderful staff is amazing service it was great i had an amazing time absolutely amazing time it's uh i guess uh so the year before we went to burns which is kind of an institution in tampa and uh you know as far as it goes the ambiance and the the you know the just the the way they set up burns is i like that a lot better but prime 88's food at least the steak for sure was far superior in my eyes the wine selection better at burns but they had really good wine at prime 88 and just in general i would highly recommend it i think it was absolutely worth it um i could nitpick but at the end of the day it was it was wonderful the
25:20 food was amazing my steak was fantastic i mean absolutely perfect i enjoyed mine as well i got the bone-in ribeye it was excellent by by recommendation of you let me let me say so yeah ribeyes ribeyes one of those things you really can't go wrong with right they no it's coined the king of steaks for a reason you know and a lot of that has to do with that fat that you're not a super big fan of but if it's done right it just adds a lot of flavor you know You know what I mean? Oh it was I ate every last bit of it They had a tiny little piece of bone in it and that was it Yep It was fantastic I couldn eat quite as much, but I ate until I was completely stuffed. It was wonderful.
26:15 And for a side, we had I had never had cauliflower It was like cauliflower mac and cheese. I forget what the name of it is. Oh, cauliflower au gratin. yeah that's what it was yep so it probably had i i don't really do the uh the like bread or gluten thing my psoriasis it kind of flares it up so i'm sure that had a little bit of flour probably in it but probably a little bit of bread crumbs maybe it's where you know no not that i know of but that that was great because i almost went for the macaroni and cheese because i never eat pasta anymore but you know like i got talked out of that so i i'm glad i got talked into the cauliflower it was excellent yeah uh mrs mrs havoc is going to attempt to make something like that for oh great nice because she does a really mean potatoes all grown and so really you're just taking the potato out of it and and then at that point it's cheese and some cream and you know it's about it.
27:21 I don't do the potato thing anymore either. I mean, I love potatoes. They're in the nightshade family and there's maybe... I don't know. It's hard to tell what makes it flare up or not. It actually didn't flare up that bad. I was kind of surprised as well as we were eating. Well, we didn't eat... We weren't going crazy with a bunch of carbs and sugars. No, no carbs at all. It was mostly meat, protein, and it was grass-fed, grass-finished, I think, for the most part. I think the grass-fed makes a big difference.
28:02 Yeah, it does. It really does. last week I had I don't eat that much red meat honestly at home but we had I had a filet but you know like store bought stuff so it's definitely grain fed and I did have a flare up so that's why we're you know kind of going to switch over to the grass fed stuff I mean it's more expensive obviously but I think you know for health decisions I think it's probably worth it for that it is the other thing is so grass-fed there there's you know you'll actually get a bit more beefy flavor from grass-fed grass all right um so you know a lot of people actually will do grass-fed but grain finished to get that quantity built up um but so you'll get a little bit you'll get more beefy flavor and then it's it's usually not quite as juicy it's it's not as juicy but if you do a steak right you're going to let it rest right and when it rests if it rests long enough when you cut it open the juices don't run out of it and that's the purpose of resting it right is to let those kind of you know doesn't really reabsorb but you know meld back in with the fibers and the meat right and so you've got a juicy bite in your mouth but not all the juice on the plate and that's kind of the desirable that's that's the goal that's the part i need
29:35 to work on like see so like you you were running the show as far as the cooking so like we did the you know the havoc show so like the resting i gotta work on that because i i'm i'm usually not the best at just letting it rest yeah you just want to pull it pull it a little early earlier than you think right and then just let it sit and honestly if you don't you know if you don't have like a cambrio or something like that purpose built for this i my personal take one of the best places you can put something like that microwave okay probably 90 of our microwave usage is resting meat right nice i mean that's what it's there for right to meet cabinet why would you need it for anything else yeah i don't know i really don't And the other thing that I didn't know about, because I'm not really a grill expert.
30:33 I got a little, you know, round Weber, you know, kettle thing. And that's all I got. But what did we pick up? One of those, it's like a stainless tray for doing vegetables. You know, I don't even know what you call it. But it's got the little holes in it where the flames can come up. That was actually excellent. I thought that was great. I tried, what did we have? Brussels sprouts with pancetta. which I didn't think I would be a fan of, but it was actually good. And asparagus, which I had never really tried. And we actually made it twice the last couple of weeks, adding new things to the diet, you know, from things we tried.
31:15 So it was a learning experience as well. Not just enjoyable, but, you know, we picked up some new habits, which I'm happy of. that is awesome yeah i think you know a lot of vegetables believe it or not you can even if you want to steam them a little bit first a little little bit more on the tender side but you know broccoli um is another one you can do i like broccoli so we grow broccoli here but that's part of like the freezer thing i think we're going to grow more of it next year yeah because we just ran out of room to store it is that is part of the problem yeah yeah but getting a little bit of char on them from just takes the flavor it you know to me anyway like asparagus when it's done on a grill is i think a hundred times better steam or or in an oven or anywhere else it was great i I have no complaints about it.
32:18 Despite what I might have said at the time, which I probably said like, it's okay. That's my standard answer. It's okay. The musical experience, trying to find what music LX likes. Oh yeah. No, we had fun with that too. What did we hear like 16 times? A Weezer. I think Weezer is one of your favorite songs now. It's okay. I don't even remember what song it was but I remember we heard the same song quite a few times yeah we tried to find things I I turned you on to Operation Ivy there yeah very good you've never heard them the one thing I showed you that you hadn't heard I think you've heard probably everything else not all of it to be honest with you You know, we were definitely in different music genres when we were younger.
33:18 I was quite the metalhead. And, you know, so. You know, I was thinking about that afterward. And I think most of that just boils down to, I mean, when I was a kid, there was nothing around here. There were no, like, record stores or anything like that. So it all pretty much came down to what my friends, like, here's this cassette. listen to it and that's pretty much what you listen to or you know if you're like the radio person which i i guess i you know everybody kind of you know you couldn't really miss it but more along the lines of uh things that weren't on the radio if my friends didn't have it i i didn't hear it you know and if it wasn't on the radio i didn't hear it so that's kind of how that happens i was kind of uh spoiled in that regard you know we had licorice pizza and you know tower records and you know all this stuff it was just kind of part of the culture growing up where you know in southern california just a lot of music a lot of different kinds of music a lot of live music everywhere all the time um so but yeah i settled on metal primarily and went off banging my head around with my long hair and being crazy and any permanent brain damage from that most likely yeah nice self-inflicted concussions yeah sure okay i don't know whiplash
34:49 you know that's a good song by the way metallica nice yeah old old metallica it's pretty funny we went to a smoke shop earlier uh i picked up the puff co what's it called now i don't know the one looks like a pipe pipe oh yeah i saw i saw that somewhere yeah yeah i got one of those and uh haven't tried it but i've got it and uh they make legal concentrate now so let me give that a shot see how that goes see what is that is that the delta 8 or delta 9 or it's got a mixture of different stuff in there whatever i i've tried that kind of stuff before it works it does the job it's not quite the same but you know hey how is it different um it seems to be yeah i don't know i'd have to think on that one for a while uh it's it just feels like a different you know experience you know what i mean so that's pressed from uh hemp right so how they get that yeah yeah okay they're well they're taking yeah they're extracting the the different deltas that you know i think there's like what 27 or 28 of them in there oh is there that many there are yeah i was pretty surprised by that as well i was like well i know there's nine i think because you know
36:23 goes delta nine so there's got to be all right so what is the what is the regular like weed stuff what i can't even remember i wanted to say it was delta nine but i don't remember um but yeah it works it feels pretty much the same there's it's just something's a little different about it and and i don't know what that is um not unenjoyably different just different, I guess. You know what I mean? It's fully legal, so that's the best part, right? That is the good part right there. I'll probably try that later on and see what goes on.
37:04 It'll be fun. I don't know. Whatever. Nice. Be a nice way to end the evening. Relax. You know? There you go. Speaking of ending the evening, I never drink. Never, ever. ever and i tried one of your uh i call them one of your wife's chick beers or girl beers or diet beers or whatever those little corona cans little skinny cans they were actually you know i had one after dinner and it was actually pretty good yeah the corona premiere yeah it doesn't really taste like beer no it's it's it's beer flavored water is what it kind of yeah because i really don't like beer but i i enjoyed it you know had a nice after dinner uh time i i think you know everything in moderation right exactly i think it's a it's a good it's a good one for exactly that purpose you know end of the day just like yeah i'd like to have a beer you know yeah it's it's a nice one very very low carb that stuff and you know it's not heavy it's not going to make you feel all bloated or weird you know yeah it's a good one not my personal favorite I'd prefer pretty heavy potent beer myself not like IPA but like a nice Belgian ale or something or you know German wheat beer or something
38:34 but you know hey to each their own. Maybe I'll have to try one of those next time. I know nothing about them at all. Yeah, we can work that out. Or I can stick with the girl beer. That's probably better. Probably best to stick with it, you know what I mean? Just because of the wheat content in a German wheat beer, I would be... Oh yeah That might jack you up pretty bad That could possibly backfire on the heavy And so you know the the the more potent the more you know I guess Heavier beers, they're going to have a lot of that stuff in them, you know.
39:19 See, that's the things you don't really think about. A lot of grains, a lot of, you know, stuff that's probably not great. Whereas that one is super ultra low everything. So, yeah, like you said, it's kind of like beer flavored water. I think it's pretty close. Yeah, yeah, exactly. It's like that, you know, what's that water that people drink that's like lightly flavored or whatever? I don't know. It was a fad for a while. And it's like you can smell it and you take a sip and it doesn't really taste like it tastes like water. And then it tastes like water. and then the end of it hint of blueberry or something. Oh, like sparkling water kind of thing?
40:02 I don't remember what it was but people are going to watch this. The three people that actually watch this are going to be like, oh yeah, that was and you can leave a comment. They'll know. Yeah, leave a comment. Click the subscribe button too if you want us to keep doing this stuff. Hit subscribe to let us know. Hey, keep doing this and leave a comment. Say, hey, you guys suck. Or, hey, great stuff. Or, hey, that one is this. Talk about something else. Right? We want to talk about dragons again. I've heard that, actually. Yeah, I had a suggestion to talk about what you did after you quit the War Dragons game.
40:45 What I did is I deleted the app, and I never turned it back on again. that was pretty much the end of that and uh i stayed in some of the line chats and that was kind of i don't know they kind of whittled themselves down after a while to a few did you did you quit like a lot of the uh war dragon specific like group chats and stuff uh yeah i think i quit all of them and then um yeah yeah i'm not in over time yeah i was invited to a couple and uh i don't know there's there's some game content every once in a while i mean there's only one person that i know that's actually still playing same and uh whenever that person posts you know something about the game i i always just think to myself like man they're just like they're just riding that thing right to the end aren't they like just recycling all that garbage and trying to get people to buy it i honestly have no idea how that how that game is still going i don't know you know i played for what maybe six years or something and i've been out of it for about a year and a half now and the interesting thing is i can still relate to everything that the players are going through after having quit for a year and a half In other words, nothing was improved.
42:21 It's just... Is there one guy in a little shed behind some warehouse or something that's still running this thing? Just putting new skins on these dragons and trying to sell packs to get them? I don't really understand. It's pretty stagnant. I mean, they got rid of the forums, right? They got rid of most of the staff. I don't really know who's even doing it. And the only other game they have is some stupid, like, ridiculous thing that I would have no interest in playing whatsoever. It's not an action game.
43:01 It's some stupid, like, choose-your-own-adventure thing. Drama or something. I don't even know. Episodes. Okay. yeah that's their only other game didn't didn't they get acquired by bite dance or something like that or are they owned by bite dance i know tencent bought them a while back tencent okay yeah yeah so that's that's the thing they're just an offshoot they're another another company right i imagine they their developers are pooled in some form or another um my guess is yeah you're probably they're probably running on a pretty skeleton crew at this point but it it seems to me because i'm still in some of the game chats it seems to me that there has been somewhat somewhat of a very light revival in the game i've seen really yeah i've seen more new players coming in I try not to, but sometimes I have to comment, like, are you stupid?
44:08 Do you hate yourself, or what's the problem here, you know? And then I have to remember that I actually quite enjoyed that game for a very long time, you know? Without that game, I wouldn't have met you. That's true. alpaca wouldn't have happened and uh you know so i i do have to give some kudos for the community that they built up you know although banning me on the forums for a meme was pretty lame pretty lame literally the emotional damage meme you know emotional damage i'm surprised i never got banned i don't even know how that never happened but whatever yeah they got mad at me i think it was just because there was a big huff going on right i was like the straw you know right on the camel's back like who think you're banned forever not like 30 days or seven days like forever like you are permanently banned forever and i was like i would be willing to bet that everybody who had any part of that is no longer at the company though if that's any consolation yeah i don't care i just don't care you know they moved the forums all to discord and man i really dislike discord i've never been on it and i don't like it it doesn't it feels it's clunky to me um it's got great stuff like permissions and you know things like
45:44 that roles and it does have a lot of good features to it that to be honest with you line a couple of those would be nice you shouldn't be able to just delete someone's room because you have bots that set up the room right you shouldn't be able to kick the owner and creator of a room out of their own room. I haven't seen that for a long time. That used to be a thing. Have you seen it recently? Yeah. About a month and a half ago, someone's room got nuked. And then they restarted it. And about three weeks later, got nuked again.
46:26 And in the process, one of these buttheads, some of them, I don't know, Somehow I got message banned as well. Really? Yeah. And I was just like, you know what? I'm staying out of that stuff. I'm not dealing with it anymore. Don't need anything. No part of it, you know? So I did, when I quit, I actually made sure that even if I got some kind of a hair up my butt, that I wouldn't be able to come back. I took my entire base. I transformed mage towers into you know cannons I transferred everything everything I had I made an island that was nothing but ballista but ballistas I had cannons trebuchets all the the old you know projectile based stuff that's no mages nothing transformed everything and of course at that point i lost you know it would it would make no sense at that point to try and rebuild everything you know right no did that deleted the game app never actually even looked back no i haven't either so i don't know i was what's that i do miss it at times you know you do What part?
47:53 Not Atlas. The waking up every three hours to do events part? Nope. Not that either. Just the flying dragons and the chatting with some of the people and the camaraderie and stuff. I do kind of miss that part. And trying out the new dragons. I like the hunters. Look, check this one out. Yeah. All right. I wouldn't think the lifespan of a phone game would be I mean it's going on nine years now right? I think so yeah. I mean isn't that quite out of the norm? I mean that's longer than the life cycle of most vehicle manufacturers these days. True.
48:39 Yeah no I think it depends right? There are some games out there that have been extremely successful and are still going strong well strong-ish they're not like they used to be but you look at things like you know game of war mobile strike uh you know clash of clans you know all these kinds of games they're still around they were there before pg started you know before war dragons came about so it just depends i think war dragons has a lot of pull um i came from game of war right and one of the big pulls for me on war dragons and you know when i first started was you can't lose anything you just go to sleep and you wake up and oh no someone stole my wood it's auto regenerating i don't care you know right you know you do that in game of war and you wake up and everything's gone everything your heroes gone your castle's on fire all of your troops are gone you're just dead you know i don't think i would enjoy enjoy that very much to be quite honest with you you know it was kind of fun it had that adrenaline rush to it right because you knew you could lose right i mean you you know but at the same time it would also cause like you know three in the morning waking up going did i set a shield you know that kind of stuff so yeah it sounds like uh that that type of thing would be
50:15 more uh more draining on your uh your financials too than the the war dragons thing yeah it certainly or it probably could be if you if you allow it to be certainly could be i think some guy actually made the news for game of war and he embezzled some like a million dollars from his company or something and spent it on game of war yeah i know right was it worth it uh how could it possibly be look at my pixels my pixels are better than your pixels i mean you gotta know that like your your retribution is going to come for that.
50:56 They're not just going to let that fly. You're eventually going to get caught. I don't know what goes through people's heads when they start thinking about doing stuff like that. It just seems... Even the cheating thing, I never really got it. There were obviously cheaters. It's funny because the biggest people that would you know call out cheating and then the next thing you know is they're banned and right i think that the biggest complainers were probably like part of the problem that you know they were kind of projecting onto everybody else's is what it sounds like partly that maybe they uh they had older cheats or hacks or whatever and and someone had newer better ones and was getting the better of them and they were mad because their cheats and at the end of the day if you're if you're using a cheat or a hack, you just just pack it up and you weren't relying on yourself.
52:00 It's not you doing it. You're not doing anything. You suck so bad that need a you know a cheat or a hack to actually be able to contend that's that's what it says to me you're just basically you suck you're terrible you're really really terrible so that's that's true you know using using the equivalent of an aim bot or a wall hack in in like you know call of duty doesn't make you a better player just makes you really really terrible and really a Poor loser. I guess there's probably cheaters everywhere, huh? Yeah, of course. It's human nature.
52:43 That's true. You know, it's funny because I grew up playing the old school Nintendo games. I never really knew there were cheats. They had like the you know, now they have the game genie thing, but that was kind of hard to use. But, you know, when the internet came out, you find out there are some like cheat codes. So you put the cheat codes in the game and it actually makes it like not fun anymore. Yeah, it takes, you know, it takes complete fun out of the game. I never really understood it. Yeah, I well, I will say this. I used to. So I did use I used to use cheats, but I did them in single player.
53:26 Right. Right. So I have to like I had played Doom or whatever. And at the end of the game, you know, I'd set it up a level and go play through that again. And I usually, you know, I'll set like on, you know, I don't remember what the levels are. Like the top one was insane and the one before that was like, you know, whatever. And so I'd always go on high, the one right before insane, play through that. And then I'd play through the insane as best as I could. and you know once i got done with that then i would go in and just do like you know whatever cheat hacks or whatever and try and play through with just nothing but like a bfg like one you know very good but one weapon slow firing but kills pretty much everything or i you know do god mode and just run around and and just you know just play you know what i mean it wasn't like trying to like you know wasn't it wasn't trying to get an edge up it was just i've already done this and then i did it again and now i just want to play around you know what i mean but when you're in a competition with other people cheating is just it's lame you suck that's all i can say you suck so bad you have to rely on something else to make it appear that you don't suck as badly as you do you know what i always thought was funny is people uh we when you do get kind of good people accuse you of cheating i always kind of took that as a compliment like if you think i'm cheating
54:58 then you know i must be pretty pretty darn good at it then i guess i don't know yeah yeah no i agree with that i do i you know i but then again i mean you used to yeah it's human nature right i mean like how how is that right that's another one people just used to lose their minds over that dragon like you can't you this bad dragon should be banned it should be get rid of it it's terrible no you just suck you you lack the skills to actually fly the thing or the ability to sit there and practice enough times to actually get the timing down and make it work for you and the people that can their advantage is that they put in the time and the effort and the skill to actually make it work and yeah once they can yeah you're screwed if you've got a really good how flyer you you're screwed you're just disabled there's nothing you can do about it you just watch them disable you and that's what you do you know we we had some awesome flyers on the team, but it's not like it just happened. I mean, they would, they would spend literally from the second it came out, like, you know, they would start analyzing it and, you know, like looking at this stuff and they had, you know, like their own separate little chat room to discuss this. Dude, I mean, that was kind of beyond my abilities, but I mean, some of them guys, holy crap, you just watch them and it's like, really?
56:30 For real? Impressive. oh no doubt yeah no there there were some flyers out there you know uh yukon you know when she when she you know was flying uh nocturn right but i mean she was just really a good flyer anyway um but very impressive but you know there have been a few along the lines where it's like you know if you see him you just quit defense it's not right bothering here or you just sit there and watch it and just you know like take in the beauty of what they're doing because it's so perfect like guys coming around you know a turn with neck and always getting three or four towers in one sand boom and you're just like i mean every time you know and it's it's again it's because they put in that work you know the other crazy part is like like so i had an ipad i just couldn't see the plane on the phone. It was too small. And most of these people are playing on a phone. And I don't know if it's like pixel perfect that the way you were saying to get three or four towers on a thing but dude they I mean they get placed at every single time Yep And I know they were on a phone and it like holy crap man that like that pretty small target to be you know hitting with your finger like yeah i don't know how it works but well i mean i i do know how it works i just you know i couldn't
58:05 get i i didn't have the patience to get consistent enough with it to be right right because i did learn how to fly how and i did okay with how um but you know i mean the the people that put in all that work and really got that placement down really understood where that was and built up that muscle memory unstoppable you know kind of like who was that dude i still swear i think he was cheating uh what was the guy uh he was a he was i want to say it was neck or something i don't remember what his name was it was like i don't remember but like he'd come through with uh yeah i can't remember the name of the dragon i want to say it started with a b a hunter virtually unlimited ammo and this guy would come through and like you know on what was it one two three islands four and five he'd be done with five before he even hit overland and it was just like you can't you know that's not you can't break but apparently i mean he filmed himself actually tapping on the screens that doesn't really there's not an auto clicker still going on of some form but it just means that he set that up first and then you saw it okay now i have no proof of this i'm not going to disparage the person's name i did see the video of him clicking it looked like
59:38 he was clicking on his screens and my goodness i've never seen taps happen that fast right but hey you know i don't know you know i know some people cheated and we all know this because people got outright banned you know and yep i mean i had people that i was pretty close with you know like i mean i had you know talking to them one day and i'll you know the next day they're banned and i'm like dude what the heck happened and they fessed up and you know they told me what happened i'm like are you stupid yeah why you know well you know these you know for a hundred bucks i could you know instead of buying a pack i could get this guy to load my account with whatever i'm like dude you're stupid like all that time you put in and now it's gone gone gone baby gone stupid barbend that was it barbend barbend yeah i think that was the name mythic dragon hunter i think that was it so you have freight train hey if you got the timing down in the spells because it would reload ammo ammo and then do there was a regen spell as well and then if you had ammo runes on it it was just like you you couldn't run out you just i don't know you know 150 shots or something it was i don't remember that one yeah it was it was probably right around when you quit maybe right after it might have been right before but you you know if you're anything like me i mean i
1:01:13 I told Ghost I wanted to quit nine months before I left, but I didn't want to leave the team in a lurch. If you're anything like me, you kind of quit well before you did. You were mentally out for a little while. I was like, I don't really want to do this anymore. It did get to a point where I actually dreaded logging on. I'd see a notification and I'd be like, I don't want to do this. yeah so i mean at one point i enjoyed those events and and then you know like then they kind of became a chore after a while well it doesn't help that they were stale right it's right you're still running the same events still and it's like you know i think we got two new events we got three one of them crash burn died for good reason um the other two were so horribly glitched and buggy that it was just it was bad um but you know i mean overall there there was no like new events coming in right and i you know it doesn't have to be a lot but if if you rotate out a couple a year even you kind of take that you know oh cycle of the same thing over and over like you said right two left turns two right turns and you're home
1:02:44 i mean they stuck with what they knew i mean you're being awfully hard on that one guy sitting in that shack running the whole thing right he's got his work cut out for him man he's trying his best well the worst worst part is when we did the summit right we got to speak with some of those guys and you went there during like it was like the golden years of the the game i think yeah so we got to talk with some of those devs you know and product owners and you know the worst part was is you know pg bought that company from bought that game from someone else right it was coded in some you know much older uh uh ui and so it was just this spaghetti of mess right and the problem that they had you know like the stupid water dragon right doing anything to impact that like just jacked the whole game up and it was like so they they had a lot of problems with that they wanted at one point to port it over to a newer one but i think the you know development hours and the revenue at that point just didn't make sense i think if they had managed to do something like that it would have been a lot better you know you could have gotten different frames wire frames for dragons so you could have actually had different dragons because i think there's there's like what four main frames for the dragons they're just skinned
1:04:20 so could have done something is there any way to find out um any kind of like stats on how many players are left in the game or is that all like proprietary stuff that they don't share um you know i don't know some companies will publish it i really doubt they will now i really doubt they do yeah yeah they probably still have like some a ranking right in like the the app store or something oh yeah yeah they're probably not not not quite up on the top 10 anymore I wouldn't think. I don't even know if they're on any list at this point. Yeah. So I just don't, I don't understand.
1:05:03 Like Candy Crush, how the heck does that thing keep going? I mean, I tried it, obviously, but, you know, like I quit after a day. I don't know how, I mean, we have one mutual friend of ours who's like at level 10,000 or something crazy. Like I just, I don't get it. yeah i don't uh yeah i i think the simpler games like that are are just you know they're they're little time wasters you download something in the airport you're going to an airplane you waste your time for a few hours and you don't ever come back maybe there's no player interaction in that at all right there's i don't think when i played it last i think i played it once a long time ago because it was already preloaded on my phone.
1:05:51 Oh, okay. I mean, that's part of the draw of the War Dragon. You have people to interact with it. Even if you did nothing, you could sit in the chat and talk to people. Even if you didn't play the game at all. Heck, Angry Birds now has teams. Really? Yeah. yeah during the period before i i quit war dragons i actually downloaded angry birds just to fill some time one point and uh you know it was like oh you know join a team do this and i'm like what join a team so you know i was playing and i'm getting these invites join our team join our team and i you know what the hell's going on here it's angry birds why am i on a team all right all right i'll join your team so i joined team like a day and a half later i get kicked off the team i go to log on they're like inactivity and i'm like it's angry birds right so wow i don't know there's there's a there's there is something to the community you know playing with you know with other players etc but there's also a time and a place for that and i'm gonna say candy crush and and you know angry birds and fruit ninja and that kind of stuff not the place for teams just not that's funny yeah i was i was amazed i'm like there's teams in angry birds what i had zero
1:07:23 idea that there was i'd never heard of that yeah i i don't i don't i mean i don't play anything i so like YouTube has games now. I played a game of a mine sweeper on there the other day. That's about, that's about as deep as I get these days. I didn't know they had, had a games on there. I know they've got their whole TV thing going on now. I constantly get, you know, told I should, I should definitely watch some TV with YouTube. And I'm like, I don't want to watch TV at all. Yeah, no, they try to get me to sign up for the music thing. They're like, wouldn't it be nice if you could close your app and still listen to music?
1:08:05 And I'm like, it's okay. I'll listen down the screen. I don't care. Yeah. Or use a different app that already has that. Right. Out there. Yeah. Wouldn't it be nice if your coding didn't suck so bad? You needed me to pay you money to do something that other people just give you. Right. But I think the commercials are getting worse though. I think everywhere. Yeah. This revenue decline. Is that what it is? Mm-hmm. So do people have to... They're probably watching an ad right now. Probably. Someone is. Someone is. Do you have ads enabled on this channel? No.
1:08:46 Oh, okay. Don't they make you have them enabled until you get so many subscribers or something? I don't know how that works. Well, no. i mean youtube may play ads i i don't know i don't know if youtube throws ads in there i haven't seen them when we went on there uh but from what i've seen in the analytics and everything else until you get to like uh i don't know 500 subscribers or something monetization doesn't kick in for you or anything like that right you know no no real aspirations to get there either we see you know hey if it happens great we turn on monetization we figure out sponsors or whatever and deal with that at some point in the future if it ever happens i don't think it will but no i i'm not going to be pimping out a vpn uh deals or uh i'll pimp you just sit back okay i'll just sit back you're the arm candy man you're the pretty one so you just Uh-huh.
1:09:51 Right. You know, I'll do all the shilling for a fraction of a penny. I mean, some of those channels are cool, man. You know, I watch guitar channels, and they're sending them all kinds of cool free stuff. Or, you know, car channels are getting all kinds of free tools. Yeah, but I don't know. I think you've got to sell a little bit of your soul to get that stuff, too. Yeah. I mean, you know, I don't think we have to worry about that. I just, this is fun. I'm enjoying it. It's a neat deal, you know. Pocket Gems tried to buy me once. Did they? Yeah.
1:10:32 They wanted a video and I don't know. They had this little contract and they wanted to send me a video capture card and I don't know, some other crap. I don't even remember what it was. And this was for the podcast? Yeah. Well, for the creators whatever faction or whatever they had it with. Yeah, I heard they all have to do like NDAs and all kinds of stuff. I don't know. They summarily booted me out pretty quickly. You? How odd. I don't know. I guess I had an attitude or about something.
1:11:13 I don't even remember what it was for. I don't know. Yeah, who cares? Who cares? Water under the bridge. I was angry about it for a little while. Were you? Yeah, a little bit. Sometimes I get angry. You? Sometimes. Really? You're so even killed. I try to be. Yeah. I mean, totally. Yeah. Don't take him outside the house. Right? That's why my wife was nervous. We were hanging out. I think we're a little too similar. I think she was worried about what may occur that's alright I got your back good I got yours too oh I'm sure these people are like man are you guys going to end this thing already taking an hour and a half of my time yeah I'm going to see if I can't come up with some clips out of this one too kind of spread it out drop little clips here and there see if I can do some cool editing put a hook in the beginning you know so my wife actually said to me tonight she's like um well he's not actually posting that anywhere what are you guys just like do it for fun i'm like yeah you just posted on the other day she's like he did she didn't even see it oh really yeah make her watch it i'll make her watch it make her watch it i know right she's too busy with her uh homesteading videos and gardening videos
