Keith Barton
20 Year Marine Corps Veteran & Huey Pilot | Family Court Reformer | Author of the Proximal War Series
Keith Barton is a twenty year Marine Corps veteran, enlisted to officer, Huey pilot, and a lean six sigma practitioner who took his process discipline to the family court system the hard way: sixteen years and about half a million dollars in Florida lawyers, then firing them, then winning his own appeal pro se, a ruling Florida family court attorneys are already quoting.
His diagnosis: family court is a black box where "best interest of the child" becomes gut feeling used as discretion to not follow the law. His fix is five pages: judge checklists, written rulings tied to statutes, and federal funding conditioned on states enforcing their own equal parenting laws, 10th Amendment clean. He ran for Congress in Texas's 23rd District as a Republican in 2026, taking 8.5 percent in the March 3 primary, and has announced a 2028 run.
He is the author of the Proximal War series, a five book hard sci-fi sequence built to answer one question, what would really happen if we met a Type II civilization, with orbital mechanics he did himself (dismantled moons as Dyson ring construction material, warp corridors that fold space like paper), plus the Joey America children's books and the travel read series.
On Space Tomatoes S3-EP17 ("22 Million Kids a Year"), Havok and LX get the full pass: the five pages, the 22 million kids a year math, Huey war stories from Mount Pinatubo to low over DC, a call sign earned by messing up (Krusty, with a K), and the physics he refuses to hand wave.
